Bai Tu Long Bay lies to the northeast of Ha Long Bay, with the east bordering sea, the west bordering Cam Pha Town and also borders with Co To Island. With hundreds of islands of varying size, Bai Tu Long is an important attraction of the province. A few places of interest in Bai Tu Long Bay includes Van Don ecological site, Hon Chong Islets, Ba Sao Islet.

Bai Tu Long Bay has hundreds of mountains, islands bobbing on the water with hundreds of kilometers of coastal line with fine white sand beaches in Minh Chau, Quan Lan, Ngoc Vung.

Located within Bai Tu Long Bay, Bai Tu Long National Park includes five kinds of ecosystems: rain/broad-leaf forest, limestone forest, littoral forest, coral area and shallow water area.
